The maritime industry and logistics is one of the key sectors of the German economy and offers numerous training and employment opportunities - yet the industry is barely known to the general public. Onhe one hand, the sustainable education project ‘MarWiLo’ addresses this issue and offers students the opportunity to learn about the existing training and employment opportunities in the maritime industry and logistics in a practical way. On the other hand, they deal with fundamental economic contexts using the example of this industry (e.g. globalisation, structural change, infrastructures).
Teachers at secondary levels I and II are offered a curriculum-based concept for incorporating the maritime economy and logistics as an important key industry for Germany into their lessons.
